Can precisely control the density of mixed explosives. China's mechanized mixed explosive technology has completed tunnel application tests

2023-06-16

On June 16th, the reporter learned from China Communications Second Highway Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau") that the mechanized mixed explosive technology developed by the bureau has successfully completed phased tests for application in tunnels, and can accurately control the density of mixed emulsion explosives, making it the world's first time.

The new emulsion explosive tunnel intelligent charging vehicle used in this mixed explosive blasting test was jointly developed by China Communications Second Engineering Bureau, Hunan Jinshi Intelligent Manufacturing, and Gao Zhengmin Explosive Company. "This intelligent loading vehicle has multiple innovations," said Wang Shuai Shuai, the head of the Tunnel and Underground Engineering Innovation Studio of China Communications Second Highway Engineering Bureau. The R&D personnel use servo systems to transport bulk emulsion explosives, thickeners, and lubricants; Propose adjustable ratio of mixed explosives; Using a new thickener to achieve real-time adjustment of charge density, the density can be adjusted between 0.7-1.3 kilograms per liter, and the detonation speed can be adjusted between 3300-4800 meters per second; Low density explosives can be loaded into peripheral holes, auxiliary holes, etc., while high-density explosives can be loaded into slot holes, bottom holes, etc., resulting in good blasting effects.

"Compared with traditional manual finished drug roll charging technology, this new emulsion explosive tunnel intelligent charging vehicle can further reduce drilling volume, improve blasting depth efficiency by more than 10%, and reduce the number of on-site workers from 11 to 5, greatly improving the mechanization level of charging operations." Wang Shuai said.

Experts say that this emulsion explosive tunnel intelligent charging vehicle fills the gap in the field of intelligent adjustment of charge density for mechanized on-site mixed loading operations in domestic tunnels.
